How do I download the Winds of Viridia demo?

Shark Jump released a playable demo on 2026-10-28, the same day Winds of Viridia opened the Nintendo Indie World (Fall 2026) showcase. Coverage from Final Weapon and Nintenduo notes that Steam went live first, with the Switch 2 eShop demo following later that day.

PC (Steam)

1. Open the Steam store page (AppID 5178570).
2. Install the demo branch from the store listing (wording may read as “Demo” or “Play the demo” depending on Steam UI).
3. Steam lists Single-player, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing for the product; demo-specific cloud behavior is not confirmed separately.

Nintendo Switch 2

1. Open the Nintendo eShop on Switch 2.
2. Search for Winds of Viridia and select the free demo listing referenced in Indie World coverage.
3. Exact eShop title ID and regional roll-out timing beyond “same day, later than Steam” are not announced yet in English primary sources we track.

What does the demo let you try?

Official store and site copy points to action-adventure exploration in the Grantree valley, real-time combat, and systems such as Mothbug companion actions and totem equipment at the Sanctuary hub. Exact demo boundaries (areas, bosses, length) are not announced yet.
